Frequently asked questions
How do fees work?
Fleets pay the business price plus a 10% RoadSOS service fee (including GST). Tyre and towing businesses keep 100% of their quoted price. RoadSOS adds its fee to the fleet's total only and never deducts a cut or card fee from the business payout.
When are businesses paid?
Payment is held 14 days after the charge, then transferred to the business's Stripe account. When the money reaches your bank depends on Stripe and your bank. This 14-day hold allows fleets to review work and report any problems before funds are released.
What is the cancellation policy?
A fleet can cancel a request or a booked job before the business sets off at no charge. If cancelled while the technician is on the way or on site, the quoted call-out fee applies (unless the technician is more than 45 minutes past the quoted arrival time). If a business cancels, the fleet is never charged. See full cancellation terms in Terms of Service (Section 8: Cancellations).
No quotes are coming in.
RoadSOS widens the search automatically (starting at 50 km, then expanding to 100 km and 150 km). If the quote window ends with none, tap Search again.
I'm a business and can't see requests.
Check you're marked On call, location permission is allowed, and your verification documents (ABN, public liability insurance, licences) are approved in the Business tab.
Notifications aren't arriving.
Allow notifications for RoadSOS in your phone's operating system settings, then sign out and back in.
Delete your account
In the app: drivers go to Menu, then Account, then Delete account. Business owners use the Business tab and technicians the Me tab, with Delete account at the bottom.
If you can't get into the app, email support@roadsos.com.au from your account's email address and we'll delete it for you.
